Operations Minister
Leslie Smith
Leslie Smith has served as an Elder at the Journey Bible Church since its inception, and in May 2010 came on staff as the Operations Minister. Les has been involved in ministry since his college days, serving on numerous mission trips and working at Kanakuk Sports Camp during the summer breaks. He served in his previous church as the Outreach Coordinator and did the Evangelism training. Les has a B.A. in Art and is pursuing his Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Trinity Thelogical Seminary. Les and his wife Lori have three children; Abi, Chloe and Eli.

Children’s Director
Gidget Tate
Gidget Tate has served as Children’s Director of The Journey Bible Church since January 2007. Prior to the vocational call to the Journey, Gidget served in various children’s ministries within the San Angelo area since 1997. Prior to that, she served as the Youth Sports Director of the YMCA of San Angelo, TX. Along with her normal duties, Gidget also serves as a child advocate for Compassion International. Gidget enjoys golfing, spending time with friends, and helping children grow in the Lord.

Interim Worship Leader
Kenny Greenwood
Kenny Greenwood has served as the Worship Intern at the Journey since March of 2010. Kenny is responsible for overseeing the worship team in leading the congregation in worship before the throne of God on Sunday mornings. He also helps facilitate youth events and activities throughout the year. Kenny is currently a Senior at Angelo State University and will receive a B.A. in English in December of 2010. Kenny’s focus and heart lies in world missions, especially to the Muslim world. Kenny enjoys reading, songwriting, disc golf and fishing.
